The gifted students of Penn-Trafford’s middle schools participated in Phipps Conservatory’s Fairchild Challenge titled “Plant Love Story,” the object of which was to submit a written work accompanied by an illustration.
Two teams from Trafford Middle School earned Special Merit Awards for their submissions: Julianna Eshman’s poem titled “Blueberries” was illustrated by Delaney Race, and Addie McLaughlin’s short story titled “Memories” was illustrated by Delaney Race.
Two teams from Penn Middle School earned second place for their submissions:
Adithri Pingali wrote and illustrated a short story titled “Guava,” and Caeley Simon submitted a poem titled “Juan” which was illustrated by Ethan Goldsworthy.
