Dr. Eckberg’s gifted students at Penn and Trafford Middle Schools will benefit from new robotics equipment which was recently acquired through a DonorsChoose grant. Donations from school and community members were matched by The Chuck Lorre Family Foundation for a total of $1,744.
Each of the schools received two Lego Mindstorms Robot Inventors Kits with the funds.
The kits will familiarize students with robotics education, helping them to become more comfortable with engineering and programming.
The kits will enable students to construct and program robots to perform given tasks.
