On April 6th, eight teams of students from five school districts gathered at the Mt. Pleasant School District for the Westmoreland County Quiz League. Three of the teams were comprised of Penn-Trafford students from both Penn and Trafford Middle Schools.
After the preliminary rounds, awards were given to the High Scoring Team and to the High Scoring Individual from each team. The Penn-Trafford Middle School Team of Chloe Bishop, Faiz Khatri, Jake Lang, Logan Matrisch, Josh Maust, Adithri Pingali, and Caeley Simon (Team #1) won the trophy for High Scoring Team.
The individual awards for the Penn-Trafford teams went to (Team #1) Adithri Pingali, (Team #2) tie between Annabelle Aquino and Alex Serapiglia, and (Team #3) Grady Swartz.
After advancing to the double-elimination tournament, Penn-Trafford’s Team #1 won the Championship round in a close match, winning by 2 points.
