Students Enjoy Nature Activities at Trafford Middle School

During the week of October 10, Trafford Middle School students who did not travel to Deer Valley with their classmates participated in various informative, hands-on activities, many of them environment-related.

During the first half of the week, 7th-graders read and discussed articles about wildlife and composting, learned about cybersecurity, dissected owl pellets, created fall crafts and straw rockets, read and analyzed fall poems, and enjoyed gym activities in addition to many other activities.

During the second half of the week, the 6th-graders participated in a nature scavenger hunt, learned about plants, completed STEM activities, discussed nature topography and camping, and participated in physical fitness activities.

Overall, it was a productive and enjoyable week for the Trafford Middle School students, both in school and at Deer Valley!
