Anonymous Donor Gives $75,000 to Penn-Trafford Schools

The Penn-Trafford Community Education Foundation (PTCEF) received an anonymous gift of $75,000 in November with a directive that the funds be used for STEM, Arts, Drama, Reading and Math initiatives in the district’s libraries and classrooms.

As a result of the generous donation, the PTCEF awarded grants to all five elementary libraries, as well as fifty-two classroom grants for teachers.  In addition to new books, grants were awarded for whiteboard desks, literacy games, printers, lab equipment, streaming devices, headphones, art supplies, iPads, and many other educational projects.

“We are incredibly fortunate at Penn-Trafford to have such a supportive community,” commented Dr. Harris, Superintendent.  “This funding will go such a long way to engage our students in new and creative learning techniques.”
