In early December, Penn-Trafford Middle School students competed in the Invention Convention which was held at Yough Middle school. Five individuals or groups from the Penn-Trafford School District placed in the top 5, qualifying to apply to the state-level competition.

Grade 7
2nd place, tie - Elle LeJeune (Swim Goggles with Video and Audio Capabilities)
2nd place, tie - Grady Swartz (Bread Saver Reusable Bags)
Grade 6
5th place - Maddie Barton, Ezza Lapcevic, Cailtin Dolhi, and Amy Maust (Bug Be Gone Safe Door)
8th-grader Ava Ruane placed 4th place
7th-grader Elle LeJeune tied for 2nd place
7th-grader Grady Swartz tied for 2nd place
8th-graders Riley Joyce and Sydney Mularski received 2nd place
6th-graders Maddie Barton, Ezza Lapcevic, Caitlin Dolhi, and Amy Maust took 5th place
