Student Artwork Sale Supports Animal Rescue

Through a grant provided by the Penn-Trafford Community Education Foundation, artists at Trafford Middle and Harrison Park Elementary schools have created an online art gallery to help support Helping Hearts and Healing Tail Animal Rescue (HHHT).

HHHT is a local no-kill animal rescue based out of Ligonier, PA.  As with any nonprofit organization, their success relies heavily on community support.  Penn-Trafford art teachers, Mrs. Lamanna and Mrs. Christoforetti, approached this art lesson as a way to give each student an understanding of how an artist can promote and sell merchandise, in this case via an online art gallery.  All of the art created was photographed and posted online.  As the art sells, students see how their art can make a difference in the community.
