Students Study Meteorology

On March 20, Dr. Lynn Eckberg, a gifted teacher for Penn-Trafford School District, hosted a meteorology event at Trafford Middle School.  A representative from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Mr. Fred McMullen, spoke to students about weather in space, the local weather center, and severe weather safety.  After the presentation, students were tested on weather-related facts.  Students also created and submitted a weather video to be judged prior to the event. Students from Franklin Regional, Greensburg Salem, and Kiski also attended the event.
