Three middle school students from Penn-Trafford School District earned 5th place Team at the Calcusolve Event held on Monday, May 15th at Greensburg Salem Middle School.
The event brought together teams from across the Pittsburgh region to test their math problem-solving skills. Students competed both as individuals and as teams. In addition to Penn-Trafford’s 5th-place team win, one of its students, Benjamin Wei, tied for second place in the individual category.
Penn-Trafford’s team participants were Elle LeJeune (7th-grade, Penn Middle School), Josh Maust (8th-grade, Penn Middle School), and Benjamin Wei (8th-grade, Trafford Middle School).
