Trafford 8th-Graders Learn About Apprenticeship and Career Opportunities

More than 30 eighth-grade students from Trafford Middle School attended Build On 2025, an event hosted by the Builders Guild of Western Pennsylvania on October 30 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh.

The convention featured more than 30 construction union locals that provided hands-on demonstrations and shared information about apprenticeship programs and career opportunities. Students explored various aspects of the construction and allied trades through interactive exhibits and discussions with professionals.

The event introduced the students to potential career pathways in the skilled trades, emphasizing the importance of technical training and workforce development in the region.
