Eighth-grade students from the Penn-Trafford School District traveled to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, on Thursday, April 30th, for the district’s annual educational field trip, concluding their middle school studies of United States history.
Departing early in the morning, students from Penn and Trafford Middle Schools toured key Civil War sites, including Devil’s Den and Seminary Ridge, while learning about the Battle of Gettysburg and its impact on American history. Students also visited Civil War-era homes in downtown Gettysburg to gain insight into the experiences of local families during the battle.
The trip provided students with an opportunity to connect classroom lessons to historical landmarks while also creating lifelong memories.
