Students Put a Spooky Spin on Science

Trafford Middle School students combined science and creativity in a Halloween-themed lesson exploring solar and lunar eclipses.

Students created spooky posters illustrating either a solar or lunar eclipse, carefully drawing and labeling key components, including the Sun, Earth, Moon, umbra, and penumbra. Students also wrote original scary stories explaining their illustrations and describing what happens during an eclipse.

From creepy shadows to eerie skies, students demonstrated their understanding of how the Sun, Earth, and Moon interact while adding a fun seasonal twist to their learning.

Thank you to Mrs. Watt for creating this engaging and imaginative learning experience!
